On Wednesday, Nizhnekamskneftekhim OJSC’s Board of Directors elected Oleg Nesterov General Director, according to the company’s information. Earlier Nesterov worked as Deputy General Director for Production.
Also, the Board officially terminated the powers of Vladimir Busygin as General Director in view of his transfer to TAIF PSC (the holding company).
It is to be recalled that the decision about the changes in the company’s management was adopted on July 18 in the meeting at the office of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan. On the same day Oleg Nesterov, who had worked in NKNK as Deputy General Director for Production, was appointed as Acting General Director of NKNK, and Vladimir Busygin – as Deputy General Director of TAIF PSC for Management and Strategic Development of NKNK.
The media offices of TAIF PSC and the President of Tatarstan mentioned that these changes would facilitate more efficient handling of the issues related to NKNK’s major projects including the construction of the 1 mtpa ethylene plant.
An extraordinary meeting of NKNK’s shareholders is scheduled for September 18 where a new Board is supposed to be elected. Currently, the Board consists of 11 persons including V.Busygin. The Board is presided over by Albert Shigabutdinov, General Director, TAIF PSC. It is planned to nominate V. Busygin for the position of NKNK’s Board Chairman.
